The fusion of the classical and the contemporary

At first glance, this design series is purely classical but, on closer examination, its appeal is multi-layered and richer still. Every watch has the soft design and rounded structure that characterized the earliest Grand Seiko creations. The gently curved lugs with delicate Zaratsu polishing and the box-shaped sapphire glass further enhance the authentic, classic feeling. At the same time, however, the sharpness of every edge on the hands and indexes and the crispness of every line add a more modern tone.

A classic style for the international traveler

Long celebrated as a Grand Seiko classic, this automatic watch is powered by Caliber 9S66 whose GMT function makes it perfect for the international traveler, as the time of day in two time zones can be displayed and time can be adjusted without impairing the precision of the movement.
It also has a power reserve of three days when fully wound. The design was created by veteran designer Nobuhiro Kosugi and, with its ivory colored flat dial, sapphire box crystal and blue steeled 24-hour hand, it has a unique but universal appeal.

A quintessential Grand Seiko design

All the signature elements of Grand Seiko are here. The sharply cut hands and indexes, the mirror surfaces of the Zaratsu polished case and the wide dial opening that lets in all available light. Yet the design is both unique and memorable. The secret is in the long, flowing lines. Kosugi’s artistry is evident in every detail. As he says, “The uniqueness of this watch lies in the side slopes of the gently curved lugs.”
