A dial inspired by moonlit cherry blossoms
In Japan, the year has traditionally been divided into 24 seasonal phases to observe the subtle transitions of nature. People have long appreciated the beauty of each moment, embraced the blessings unique to each season, and lived in harmony with nature. This timepiece draws inspiration from a poetic springtime scene, a vision of cherry blossoms scattered by the wind, drifting across a river under the hazy glow of the moon. The dial’s serene blue tone evokes this enchanting image, where petals illuminated by moonlight create a dreamlike tableau of spring. Paired with the SBGX363 “Hana-Ikada 32,” it allows the wearer to experience the essence of Japanese spring across day and night, which is an invitation to savor the artistry of Grand Seiko.
A case design that modernizes the 62GS, a milestone in Grand Seiko’s history
Grand Seiko’s first automatic watch, the 62GS, was introduced in 1967. Its most distinctive feature is almost certainly its bezel-less structure, in which the glass is directly fixed to the case body. This design reduces the visual thickness of the watch while allowing light to enter the dial from multiple angles. This model inherits the bezel-less structure and other design elements of the original 62GS from 1967, while refining aspects such as wearability and crown operability to achieve a more contemporary design. The bracelet features a tapered design for a natural fit and a sharp, elegant look on the wrist.
Caliber 9F51
Caliber 9F51 marks the most compact 9F caliber design to date. It retains hallmark features of the 9F series, including the Twin Pulse Control Motor, the Backlash Auto-Adjust Mechanism and a regulation switch for manual fine-tuning of accuracy during servicing.
