It has an almost haunting beauty, like the sky on a moonlit night and the continuous, silent and unhurried progress of the hand seems to add a new and intimate dimension to the relationship of time and nature. The 44GS design unites the past and the future.
This is a modern re-interpretation of the celebrated 44GS from 1967, the watch that defined the character of Grand Seiko design. It is brought right up to date with a Spring Drive movement and with an advanced case polishing technique called Zaratsu that makes possible the distortion-free mirror finish, even on surfaces that are delicately curved. As a result, the watch has the distinctive sparkle of quality that defines Grand Seiko. This is Grand Seiko at its finest; respectful of tradition but ever willing to find ways to do things better.
