This elegant 30mm wristwatch is a modern interpretation of the celebrated 62GS, Grand Seiko’s first mechanical model to feature automatic winding. It is characterized by its distinctive bezel-free construction, which allows for a seamless integration of the crystal with the case. Like its predecessor, this modern reinterpretation features the characteristic sharp edges and perfectly distortion-free surfaces that only Zaratsu polishing can create, along with a wide dial opening achieved through the bezel-free design.
The dial draws inspiration from the tranquil beauty of cherry blossoms softly illuminated under a hazy, moonlit sky. In early spring, the significant temperature shifts between day and night often create a misty or foggy ambiance, diffusing the moonlight into a gentle, blurred glow. This enchanting scene is elegantly captured through a delicately textured pattern and a subtle silver color hue.
