A highly accurate quartz watch featuring a Snowflake dial and a compact case.
Features
In Japan, many changes in the expressions of nature mark the passing of the seasons, and Grand Seiko seeks to capture the essence of these changes through evocative dials it makes in-house.
Brought to life through masterful craftsmanship, the dial of this model captures the delicate patterns that emerge on snow swept by the wind in the winter in the Hotaka Mountains. This model is powered by the Grand Seiko-exclusive high-accuracy quartz Caliber 4J52, which is housed in a compact case measuring approximately 29 mm in diameter.

A dial depicting wind-blown snow
Visible from the Shinshu Watch Studio, where Grand Seiko’s Spring Drive and quartz are made, the Hotaka mountain range is blanketed with snow for several months each winter. The snow in these mountains is shaped by fierce winds that carve patterns into its surface, a phenomenon that inspires this watch’s “Snowflake” pattern dial. Formed through master craftsmanship, the dial is achieved not by a simple white coating, but rather by a special kind of processing that uses silver plating to create its refined appearance. The dial has an appearance of pure white without the use of any white materials or pigments.
