Through our Personal Information Protection Policy, Seiko Watch Corporation (Seiko) recognizes the importance of protecting the personal information of customers who use our website and handles such information in the ways listed below.

1. Seiko collects the following personal information, as may be applicable, in the course of our business:
   • When using our website, we automatically collect data such as internet protocol (IP) address, time zone setting and location through the use of cookies, server logs, and other similar technologies.
   • When filling up our contact or inquiry form, we shall ask for information such as the user’s name and contact details, including their phone number and email address.
   • When engaging in our repair or other services, we shall ask for information such as the user’s name, contact details, address, and purchase information and history.

   In the event that Seiko will require sensitive personal information such as age, ethnicity, martial status, or health information of users and customers to accomplish any of the purposes stated below, Seiko shall only collect and process the same in accordance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act and other applicable laws and regulations.

2. Seiko shall use the personal information listed in the preceding section for the following purposes:
   • To enable us to efficiently deliver responsive and timely services;
   • To guide us in improving the quality of our goods and services to our customers and clients;
   • To assist us in fulfilling requests and in replying to inquiries;
   • To verify the user’s identity;
   • To provide customer support such as repair services;
   • To provide promotions and offers by way of direct marketing communications (such as via calls, email, or text messages);
   • To pursue or defend against legal claims;
   • To comply with our legal obligations.

   Seiko will not request or process any information in excess of the scope of information required to achieve the above purposes.

3. Seiko shall rely on any one of the following legal grounds for processing personal information:
   • When the user has given us their express consent;
   • When processing is necessary in order to perform our obligations under a contract with the user;
   • When processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation;
   • When processing is necessary for the pursuit of our legitimate interests, so long as such interests do not outweigh the fundamental rights and freedoms of users.

   Seiko shall only process sensitive personal information under the grounds provided for in the Philippine Data Privacy Act and other applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

   • When the user has given us their express consent specific to the purpose provided and prior to the processing;
   • When the processing is provided for by existing laws or regulations and does not require consent;
   • When the processing concerns personal information necessary for the protection of rights and interests of persons in legal proceedings, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, or when provided to government or public authority.
4. Seiko may use Cookies, Web beacons and users’ IP addresses on our website for the following purposes.
   Users may limit receipt of Cookies by changing their browser settings. In this case, however, the range of services available via our website may be limited.
   • Analyze access from users’ computers and smartphones and collect information on usage trends.
   • Improve the contents of the website or emails, etc.
   • Customize contents of the website or email, etc. for individual users.
   • Identify and resolve causes of server failures or problems.
   • Regarding the membership service that requires prior registration of personal information, utilize users’ browsing history and questionnaire results for marketing activities.
   • Deliver “behavioral targeting advertising” that is prepared by Seiko or entrusted to a third-party service provider.

5. When requesting personal information through prescribed input forms on the website, Seiko in principle will implement appropriate encryption for transmission and will endeavor to prevent leakage at the time of sending and receiving.

6. When posting the opinions or photographs of individuals on our website, Seiko will definitely obtain the consent of the person concerned beforehand, and in accordance with our Personal Information Protection Policy, will only post information that is appropriate

7. Seiko may disclose information received to the following third parties:
   • Companies affiliated with the Seiko Group Corporation;
   • Business partners, outsourcers, and their successors;
   • Service providers that assist Seiko in repairs, customer support, marketing, and such other services;
   • Other parties when required by law or as necessary for the fulfillment of Seiko’s contractual and legal obligations;
   • Other parties in connection with corporate transactions, such as sale or transfer of company assets, mergers, or in the event of a bankruptcy.

   In all cases, Seiko will require third parties to ensure the confidentiality of the information, prevent its use for unauthorized purposes, and comply with the Philippine Data Privacy Act and other applicable laws and regulations in the same way that Seiko does.

8. In order to securely preserve personal information in the operation of the website, Seiko will adopt appropriate security measures for the system and its operation, such as server control arrangements and access restrictions.
9. In the case of transfer to websites operated by third-party corporations or individuals via links while using Seiko's website, the protection of personal information at the link sites will be beyond the scope of Seiko's responsibility.
10. Seiko will endeavor to protect personal information received from minors by handling it in the same way as the information that we receive from adults. If necessary, we may request the consent of the guardian.
11. Seiko will generally retain collected personal information for so long as the purposes for which we collected and processed them remain and until such purposes have been served.

Personal Information Protection Policy

Seiko Watch Corporation (Seiko) takes extremely seriously its responsibilities regarding the appropriate protection and management of personal information and has established the following Personal Information Protection Policy:

1. Compliance with laws and issuances
   Seiko shall strictly obey the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and other issuances by the National Privacy Commission relating to the protection of personal information and shall endeavor to protect personal information.

2. Establishment of an internal system and appointment of Data Protection Officer
   Seiko shall appoint a person to ensure its compliance with the applicable personal information protection laws. He/she shall be responsible for the management of personal information in sections that handle personal information,including the handling of security breach incidents, establishing company regulations, thoroughly promoting awareness of personal information protection, and shall serve as the contact person on behalf of Seiko in all matters concerning personal information protection.

3. Collection and use of information
   When collecting personal information, Seiko shall clarify the purpose of use beforehand, obtain consent if necessary, and use the information within the scope of mutual agreement.

4. Sharing and disclosure of information
   When collecting personal information, Seiko shall also inform the individual whose information is being collected that Seiko may disclose their personal information with companies affiliated with Seiko Group Corporation, business partners, and other related third parties in order to answer and/or confirm the content of customer inquiries, etc., directed at them.

5. Protection and control of information
   Seiko shall implement appropriate management by adopting information security and other security measures to prevent illegal access to personal information and the loss, destruction, falsification, and leakage of personal information, as well as processes to deal with security incidents and breaches.

6. Rights of individuals
   Individuals whose personal information are collected and processed by Seiko shall have the following rights under the Philippine Data Privacy Act:

   2. The right to rectification or to make corrections;
   3. The right to object to the processing of their personal information and to withdraw consent;
   4. The right to erasure or blocking of their personal information;
   5. The right to be informed of the existence of processing of their personal information;
   6. The right to data portability;
   7. The right to damages;
   8. The right to file a complaint before the National Privacy Commission.

7. Inquiries relating to information
   Seiko shall respond promptly and within a rational scope to requests for the disclosure, amendment, and deletion of personal information.

8. Improvement
   In light of applicable laws, issuances, and regulations relating to personal information possessed by the company, Seiko shall, from time to time, review and improve its Personal Information Protection Policy and company regulations in an appropriate manner.

9. Related operating companies
   Seiko shall provide assistance and cooperation so that related operating companies establish personal information protection schemes and engage in the appropriate protection of personal information in accordance with their circumstances.

Retained personal data

Personal data received by Seiko prior to March 31, 2005, shall be retained and used only for as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes set forth below in accordance with the circumstances under which it was acquired.
