Unique moments in photographs from the heart of contemporary Tokyo
Tradition and innovation.
Carving out Tokyo time, from the distant
past into the future.
Tokyo, a city that transforms from district to district,
molding time in step with each locale.
A crossroads of glamour, atmosphere, and technology.

The SBGY007 dial portrays the mystical natural phenomenon of the freezing and cracking of the surface of Lake Suwa,
a body of water near the Seiko Shinshu Watch Studio.
Occurring at the height of winter, this is known as the Omiwatari, or the path of the gods.
This dial, in which exquisite technology is used to generate a restrained yet elegant finish,
features a blue steel second hand steeped in elegant design.
RYOGOKU
Time retaining the essence of Edo,
rooted in a cultural spirit unique to Japan.

Ryogoku is a community that contains the Sumida River, Tokyo Skytree, the sight of the Sobu Line train cars, and other distinctive Tokyo scenes.
It has also flourished as a key home of Sumo wrestling since the Edo Period and was where famed Japanese woodblock print artist Katsushika Hokusai spent most of his life.
The futuristic exterior of the Sumida Hokusai Museum is an architectural expression conveying the originality of Hokusai in his perennial pursuit of artistic breakthroughs,
with this unique sight indicative of the essence of Ryogoku.
The SBGY007, a captivating blend of low-key and distinctive images, extends an apt expression of the culture and history for which Ryogoku shines.
