Winter in Shinshu, the region that is home to the facility where all Grand Seiko Spring Drive watches are created, offers a rich variety of sights that are both ephemeral and lastingly memorable. One such is Shizuri-Yuki, when snow spills down from the branches of trees, creating a shimmering
cascade of light.
The dial has the bright and rich texture of fresh snow and a line of diamonds on the side of the case evoke the brilliance of the snow as it falls. The diamonds, which are set by hand by the highly skilled craftsmen and women in the Shinshu Watch Studio, are arranged by size to follow exactly the
line of the case and to complete the beautiful, flowing effect.

The dial has the bright and rich feel of fresh snow. The pink gold color hands and indexes cast a subtle shadow on the dial and accentuate its soft, gentle texture.
A line of diamonds on the side of the case evokes the brilliance of the snow as it falls. The diamonds, which are set by hand by the highly skilled craftsmen and women of the Shinshu Watch Studio, are arranged by size to follow exactly the line of the case and to complete the beautiful, flowing effect.
The two-tone black and brown leather strap is crafted with the best of Grand Seiko's strap-making techniques, while the hand stitching and deep seams give it an elegant three-dimensional feel.

A manual-winding Spring Drive caliber made in the Shinshu Watch Studio, 9R31 has an innovative dual-spring barrel that contains two mainsprings set in parallel and delivers a power reserve of 72 hours.
