An elegant off-white dial
The off-white dial, with a subdued sheen, features a domed shape that gently rises at the center, creating a classical and refined impression. The hour indexes, following the design of the original Grand Seiko, are diamond-cut into a peak shape and shine with a delicate brilliance. To ensure the hands remain close to the curved dial surface and aligned with the indexes and minute tracks, each of the hour, minute, and seconds hands is carefully bent by hand, achieving excellent legibility.
Traditional elegance enhanced by masterful craftsmanship
The case design, which carries the essence of the original Grand Seiko into the present, features a round form that presents a gentle silhouette from every angle. Though seemingly simple, the lugs feature an intricate slope that widens toward the tip, accentuating the distortion-free mirror surface and delicate ridgelines created through Zaratsu polishing. The brilliant shine of the case, created with great skill and care, adds a touch of tension to the classic aesthetic, resulting in a sophisticated and graceful design.
Caliber 9S64
The manually wound movement features a maximum continuous power reserve of 72 hours (about three days). As the mainspring unwinds, its torque diminishes gradually to ensure that accuracy remains stable.
