A dial that balances classical elegance with excellent legibility
The watch’s ivory-colored dial is finished with a lustrous, porcelain-like texture to create a warm, composed impression. The tempered blue GMT hand is crafted to match the length of the hour hand and points to the Arabic numeral GMT scale that traces the inner parts of the hour indexes, forming a compact second time display on the dial. This design, which differentiates the two time zones by size for easier reading, is both classical and highly legible.
Traditional elegance enhanced by masterful craftsmanship
Before the Grand Seiko Style was established, the first Grand Seiko watch was born in 1960. Its spirit lives on in this model’s case design, which blends classic elegance with modern refinement. The watch’s gentle curves present a refined silhouette from every angle. Though seemingly simple, the lugs feature an intricate slope that widens toward the tip, accentuating the distortion-free mirror surface and delicate ridgelines created through Zaratsu polishing. The brilliant shine of the case, crafted by our craftspeople, adds a touch of tension to the classic aesthetic, resulting in a sophisticated and graceful presence.
